Default Bosch in tank fuel pump Qs

Sorry guys tried to search but it's down so hope it's not somewhere obvious(didn't appear to be in the faq).

Since you all do this more often I figured it would be best to ask here. I'm setting up an e85 compatible setup for NA. I'm looking for a bosch pump preferably in tank. I know the inline 044 is the most common setup, but I was looking at the 040 in tank version. I'll be running 725cc to have plenty of headroom for the extra flow. With the 040 is it a direct factory drop in or what additional modifications might need be made for it to fit? Or is there a better option? Thanks.

I dont think the Bosch 044 will fit in the tank but I could be wrong. If you could get it to fit and work though, it would probably take quite a bit of fabbing things up.

The cheapest route that I know of is to run a Bosch 044 externally. If you want to spend the money though and get one awesome twin intank setup, Fullblown has that for you and you will never have to worry about running out of fuel. They are good for 700+ whp on e85 and up to 1000 whp on race fuel.

Is that a single Bosch in there? What is the other setup? Which is which?

I guess it can be done though.

don't even bother with the extra stuff associated to fit the bosch in the tank. just use the 044 inline with the t1 mounting kit and you'll be straight. no need to even use braided line from the tank to the fuel rail. just use the stock line then from near the firewall run a braided setup to the bosch inline. and if i were you i'd run the Injector Dynamic 750's to allow for better control.

Chris, the main thing with e85 is to make sure EVERYTHING that touches it is compatible. The Evo X guys are finding that their in tank hoses corrode in E85, and the Walbro fuel socks dissolve. :/
