I think part of the reason is nothing more than each year more and more people find out about it, and especially for this year, I had a bunch of Miata drivers who failed to sign up early, and then when they tried to I was all filled up. They begged, pleaded, cried, tried bribery, and everything else they could think of, but I could not let them in. Well let me just say, that whole bunch was signed up for 2010 before the middle of October, they were not taking a chance this year.
