Default THE best event of 2010 at Dunsfold -Top Gear track

This is the second year of our Charity ‘ride in a supercar’ event at Dunsfold Aerodrome (the Home of BBC’s top gear)

We at Petrolhead Nirvana are working alongside Club Scuderia to raise money for The Children’s Trust charity.
http://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/ Which provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury

The format is simple;

We’ve got 80 supercars of various descriptions from Atoms to Zondas giving up their time, fuel and tyres.
The public pay £20 in exchange for 2 high speed laps of the oval configuration (cant do the figure of 8 as we will have 12 cars out at once which could be interesting at the crossover!) or up to £50 for blue ribband cars such the Ferrari Enzo.
Add in a number of carefully selected car clubs to display their cars (at a reduced entry rate of £7 per car instead of £7 per person)

Further add in more things to do for adults and kids;
Driver training circuit
Helicopter rides
Live bands
A myriad of stands and stalls
Bouncy castles
Fairground rides
Fire engine and Double decker bus rides
Roary the racing car
Static plane displays
Great food

We’re adding more features to this event all the time.

The entry prices for the event are;
Adults £7
Children £3
Family tickets £15
Standard supercar rides £20
Blue Ribband rides £30-£50

As I already mentioned car clubs pay £7 per car rather than per person
Every penny goes to the charity so we rather hope that you wont mind the £7 for access to all of the above.

A quick video of some of the highlights from last year

We had around 4,000 people at the event last year and this year we’re aiming for double that

So, why am I telling you all this?

Obviously the more people we get to come along to the event the more fun everyone will have and the more money we can raise for The Children’s Trust. So spreading the word about the event would be very helpful indeed.
All of us at Petrolhead Nirvana are giving our time and efforts for free and the company is paying for the event liability insurance as well as covering design costs for any media – so as you can see this is in no way a commercial event.

I’m also in charge of organising the car club static displays and would love to have S2Ki along as i still love my S and they're close to my heart.

I’ll need an idea of numbers (probably a max of 30…although I can move things around if you get more, just let me know) I’m happy to coordinate the group, and organise details – unless someone on the forum wants to take charge of that aspect.

So does that sound like fun?

Cool shall we start a list?
I'll pass on the car club booking details once they're live on the site..it's likely to be individual bookings for ease. (you can book rides etc online already)

Having spent a childhood witnessing my brothers slow demise at the cruel hand of Muscular Dystrophy I cannot think of an event I would want to attend more.

I would be happy to offer rides in my S2000 IF needed.

Whatever, please add my name ot the list.

I'm sorry to hear that, it must have been a really tough time for you and something that stays with you, I've seen similar things happen which makes you realise how fragile we can be and at the same time galvanises you to try and do everything to help....you've hit at the route cause behind me putting such efforts into making this event as successful as I can.

i'd really like to get a decent S2ki showing for the static display so i'll add your name to the list as well, feel free to invite anyone who you think might want to be a part of this too.

Harsh has organised a great event for charity at Dunsfold Park which takes place on Sunday 16th May 2010.

If you would like to display your car at the event please sign up. I have offered to organise attendance from our club. We need to aim for around 30 cars.

Please put your name down on the list. I will send PMs to all those on the list nearer the time.

Looks like a great day out.
