Looks good! How do you take the trim ring off??? Do you have to take the whole console out first? Hope not!

the whole center console piece snaps off, loosen the lock nut on your shift knob then unscrew the knob. Gently pry the whole plastic console piece off, unplugging the flashers and top switch then you have the whole pice out. Removing the chrome trim ring is a bit more involved as it is put in place then little plastic tabs are melted down to hold it permanent. The melted tabs are silly since the whole thing snaps in place anyway, simply trim the melted tabs with an exacto knife or use a soldering iron to melt them off like I did then unsnap the chrome part and scrub with rubbing alcohol to remove the paint and there's nice shiny chrome waiting for you underneath.

I'm writing this from memory of almost a year ago so I may have left out a detail or 2, but it's all really straight forward and easy.
