Default Engine problems...

Hello,

It was Sunday morning 9am I was driving on the 61 in Germany on my way to the NurburgRing, I was driving +/- 190 / 200 Km per hour when my engine said PLOEFFFFFF a lot off smoke behind the car, I directly drove it to the side of the highway, when I looked under the hood, the full engine was under the oil, under the car oil.
I checked in the morning my oil and it was 3/4 full so that was ok, by 28000 KM two modifications were done, the clutch and the modification what Ronald was mentioned, so also new oil was done ( car has now 31000km )

The Adac ( ANWB in the Netherlands ) told me that the "Krukas keering"( I don't know the english word for it, maybe somebody could translate this word ) was blown out, he could not tell me if there where more problems in the engine.
I hope my car to see within two weeks, it is very busy ( holiday period ) to pick up my car.

I also hope that this problem will be paid by Honda, my car is two years old so I have still 1 year warranty.

Does anybody know if there are more problems like this??

I will keep you guys informed..

Rgds Danny

I really don't know..... they did two cars before my car so they had a little bit of experience. I called them and told this story and they were also surprised, I heard today that my car will be picked up this weekend and they hope to bring my car Tuesday or Wednesday to the dealer.

Danny,

You should post this on the S2000 Talk and on the UK Forum. I think you would probably have more feedback.
BTW, did you use the same dealer as Ronald and me for the recall? Just curious, because I am under the impression that your engine failure must be linked to that particular recall.
Anyway please keep us in the loop. I hope Honda will take the costs.

Danny,

I've posted my thoughts on what may have happened on the UK thread. Is there any chance of getting photos of the car, before the dealer starts work? Is it possible to see the location of the leak? Can you post the ADAC report, I presume it was in German?
