Default Got the ASA revised offset rims and....

I am pretty happy about the new rims at last.
I cheaped out and opted for Sumitomo HTRZ II tires instead of S03.
It is 17 inch with 205/50 and 255/40 in the back.

Special thanks goes out to Jim at TireRack for getting it to me as soon as he received the shipment.
However I was little bummed out that rear wasn't 45 but 40. Oh well, I will get what I want next time around...

The new offset was far more better than the initial one which stuck out like Spoon.
I am very happy with the great build quality for such a budget rims, this is an incredible value!
Looks like I will finish the look with the lowering in the near future.
I am going to enjoy this rims very much!!

I also thank jfys2k very much for his great generosity to lend his stock rims/tires while awaiting for the ASA rims to arrive.

If anyone wants more pics, I will try to fill your request.

You can click each photos if you want to see them at more full. bigger resolution.

The wheels are 17X8 ET49 242.00 and 17X9 ET62 249.00 each. They weigh about 17.5 lbs and they are a forged multi piece wheel.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Actually, I initially wanted even bigger diameter tires.
like 50 or 55 but finally settled with Jim at 45.
But it turned out to be 40.
This would make the gap little bigger on the rear and also I wanted bigger diameter tire to ease out my crazy final gear ratio.

But I am happy nonetheless.
These are great rims.

Made in Korea too

1Randyc,

What's your impression now of this rim/tire combo after having these for over a month?

Nobody, I am still very very happy with the rim&tire choice.
I am particularly very happy with Sumitomo HTRZ II performance!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this.

Just recently lowered with Neuspeed Sport Springs from
http://www.racingworks.com/neuspeedsport.html
at fantastic price. These will lower about 1.2-1.4inch and I just love the lowered look.
Racingworks were selling at super low price of mere $147 compare to some other place at $199 or even retail price of $239.

My current picture with lowered doesn't represent well of the lowered look but trust me it is satisfyingly lower than previous. Just remember if you have 2002 model, you will actually lower even more. (I have seen one in person and because of the suspension change the gap is even less with Neuspeed springs)

I think this is perfect combo for budget minded people. These are good stuff! Offset is great, so even if you thinking of lowering tremendously, you will probably not rub at all. I have no rubbing or oddity issues with even when lowered with the Neuspeed springs.

Just don't try to get the Race version with thinking of running with stock shocks. I know Race version will drop 2inches but your stock shocks will not be able to handle it.
