Default A sad day for my S2000

Walking towards my S2000 this morning I found my remote sensor did not work. The assumption of a dead remote battery was shortly interrupted by my noticing the 8" gash on the soft-top.

Further inspection revealed the removal of both seats, the steering wheel, aluminum gear shift knob, and a few personal effects.

Besides the obvious negatives, the seats are backordered and total ~$4k per seat - a few weeks to repair at least. On the plus side, the wheels were still on, and the engine appeared intact. Small consolation, but I'll take what I can at this point.

At the dealer I came across 2 other S2000s with similar stories. Apparently these internals are HOT, and can be removed in a matter of minutes! Owners beware!

Hey bud,

Sorry about your luck. Talk about a gut-wrenching feeling of violation. I believe in the old philosophy...what goes around, comes around. Hopefully that airbag blew up in the loser's face resulting in permanent brain damage.

Hope things pan out well for you. I'm sure some good will come out of this bad.
Take care
Asif

That's horrible news. But $4000 per seat? That can't be right.

Alarm with proximity sensors may help.
