Okay, now I'm worried... what's the scoop on proximity alarms? Educate me, please. How do they work, who makes the best ones and how much do they cost? Any downsides? Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. Are you going to do the alarms and possibly get a garage for it?

You can get Sparco seats for around $1000-$1500 for a pair of nice ones. They even have black leather ones (milanos??) I think.

Sorry to hear about it.

Take a look on E-bay. You will probably see your seats on sale there. I have seen lots of seats for S2000's there. The interesting thing is that I have emailed half a dozen of the people selling S2000 seats and asked them if they could tell me where the seats came from or the VIN of the vehicle they came out of. Not one person has replied. When I email other sellers of items on ebay you almost always get a prompt reply. I suspect a large percentage of them are stolen. If you see seats that might be yours I would talk to ebay's fraud department.

I've posted my # and offered help, because I have some stuff that he needs to get back to functionality. I haven't heard from him yet.

also, miniboost, sorry the milano doesn't work. but a few other sparcos are optional.

Sorry to hear about the seats. Same thing happened to me when visiting Housotn on vacation. Just got my car back last week. It took 3 and 1/2 months and almost $10,000 to reapair. Be ready to wait for seats. They are backordered everywhere. Good luck.

Why are these seats so expensive? I thought the $4k per seat was a typo!
