Default Just installed Whiteline X-Brace

Just got it installed today. It took my father and I 10 minutes max. Very easy. I took it for a test drive.............Wow! You can feel the difference, like what Muz said when you go over a bump its not as harsh and you can feel that it has better steering, more over steer. I took it on a long bend on my street at about 80-90 km/h and the car can hold the line much easier. It doesn't want to under steer like before. So I recommend it to any one.

more over steer.

Can you confirm this? I would have though that less roll in the front will give you LESS oversteer.

It doesn't want to under steer like before

Same with this ... can you confirm this? Again, I would have pressumed that less roll at the front will give you MORE undesteer.

Just from theoretical poit of view, if you have LESS understeer then you vane MORE oversteer. From reading your post I got the imporession that you feel the x-brace gives you LESS understeer and MORE oversteer.

I think any difference you feel in steady state cornering is psychological. Where it can help (maybe) is on the change of direction and with general steering response. It won't significantly increase front roll stiffness (which as DavidM points out would cause understeer anyway). When I had it on my car I did an extremely aggressive slalom down the street where Whiteline's workshop is. I was amazed by how the car just darted around in whatever direction I pointed it. When it was taken off I seriously thought they had put something back wrong and my steering was loose. That said I'm prepared to admit that the whole thing could be a placebo effect because of my expectations. If you look at where it goes it's very hard to see how it can effectively increase stiffness anywhere, especially considering how relatively flimsy it is compared with the chassis rails and the huge girder that runs across the front of the car. Despite the doubts I'd buy one in a second if I still had the car. It really felt that good (real or not).
