Default Found Dog - Needs a Home

This dog was abandoned near Clemson, SC. Her owners moved away and left her at their trailer with no food or water. She had no collar, tags, or microchip.

My girlfriend and I are fostering her until she gets adopted. She's very sweet and loves to cuddle/sleep next to you. She's about 20-25lbs, and looks to be a Dachshund/Basset Hound mix. She is somewhat lazy, and would make a great apartment dog. She just wants to lay around the house. She'd also be suited for those who can not regularly exercise a dog since she has a very low activity level. She will play with other dogs, and is extremely friendly towards them.

PM me if you want to know more about her! I already have a dog, and my girlfriend has two - otherwise we'd keep her.

Please spread the word!

Those former owners should be hunted down and tied to a tree for a month.
Someone is bound to adopt that loving dog.

If I had room for another one, I'd be all over this. My black lab might not appreciate a room mate.

Not familiar with that breed of dog but are her front legs supposed to look like they do? Beautiful dog though. Hope some one picks her up.

The feet of basset hounds are that way for some reason. Here is another one that I found on Google. It doesn't seem to bother her or inhibit her movement at all.

I completely agree. She is such a sweet dog and I have no idea how a person could leave a dog like this on her own. She's clearly not meant to be an "outside" dog. She just once to lay on a couch. In fact, she's curled up right next to me now.

Spread the word please!!!!!

We have way to many animals now but know some people that might be able to help. I will spread the word this morning.

Good luck.

And not for nothing but it is a very cool thing you are doing fostering the dog .

Do you know if she is house broken?? We have 2 cats, I wonder how the dog would interact with cats or how our 2 cats would be with that one.

That's great that there are people interested. I don't have the space for another animal, and besides, I don't think Ripley would like it if I did get another dog.
