greetings, just registered for this great board.

Ordered a silver/red s2k in October of 2000. My dealer sells only at msrp. Was told I was tenth on the list, car would arrive around august 2001. I was told in December 2000, it may be April 2001. I was told in January, it would be March 2001. I recieved a call on Valentines day, 'Your car is here, when can you pick it up'. My local Dealer, Friendly Honda, has a silver/black on display, the person that ordered it did not pick it up.

I live in the northeast and the weather is still pretty bad, there is still salt/sand on the roads, left over from the recent snow storms. I still drive the car though, have put 100+ miles since I recieved it Saturday. I had planned to take the car straight home, garage it, and wait for spring. Fourty miles later, I still had not made it home. Home should have been only about 7 miles.

If anyone is still trying to get a car and is near the 12603 zip code, Friendly Honda is a good place to start. My sales person, Cliff Wells, was outstanding. The other local dealer, Moorehead Honda, does charge above msrp and they have a bad reputation for service.

Anyway, just wanted to say, its a great car. I am not a motor head, I own a 91 integra, 95 integra GSR and now the s2k, but not much of a car nut. No mods, no wax, they're lucky if they get washed. Dirty floor mats and ripped seats . The engines are cared for by my local mechanic, been going there since '91 (Integrity Auto of Hopewell Junction). What I do is drive, and drive hard. My '91 has 215k, '95 has 109k and s2k is just starting the break in period with 147mi.

Well, thanks for letting me in and I will be lurking around.

I think it is in Poughkeesie, New York. I heard of a Friendly Honda located there and that they sell for MSRP.

It's nice to know that not everyone here has obsessive-compulsive disorder!

Great to hear that there is another Honda fan with his/her own S2k, you won't regret it. BTW give the car a wash once in a while.

PUHLEEEEEEZZZZEEEE wash/wax your S2000 regularly, don't eat in her and don't smoke in her either!

She deserves better than that!

Welcome to the board - you're gonna love the S2K!!

Cheers,
