Thanks for posting this video.

In the end all things being equal it doesn't matter what you use to make power, it only matters where that power falls in the band.

From a roll, it's no surprise the turbo car pulls, and from a stop/1st gear roll on I don't feel thats a fair comparison. The s/c guy doesn't make enough down low tq to spin the tires. If he had proper rubber/suspension, the tubo car would hook and be gone.

Or can we say, boost by gear?

Turbo > SC

Problem is at those power levels its not easy to find a street tire that will hook with a turbo in 1-2nd gear. An SC makes the right power delivery to be tractable, its certainly more usable in track conditions where you can have both explosive power and not jeopardize the handing integrity of the car.

It looks like the S/C car was being shifted too early. I would have waited for 4 flashes.

Great vids! Great comparison! Cheesy music! Power under the curve is quite important, albeit, the supercharger setup is nice because the higher you rev, the faster is feels, compared to the flat plateau of a turbo setup. I would be curious to see what the turbo setup would do with a boost by gear setup, or starting in 2nd instead of 1st. Thanks for posting.
