Default Hardtop Rattles

finally have a rattle free hardtop on my S2000!

Removed Hardtop
Silicone greased rubber seals.
Removed side pods on hardtop
Losend off the bolts on sidepod brackets.
Put hard top back on with the sidecatches lose.
two mates applied even pressure to the top while i tightend the side pod bolts up again.
reattached side pods and rubber side seals.

extra's
Put a towel over softop, mainly to keep the dust off.
rubber bands around soft top catches.
Hardtop catches have 4 cm of soft rubber tubing within the catch to keep them from rattling.

Its like driving a proper coupe now.

Total time 45 mins.

Also went to wheels in motion for a full geo, fast road setup.... car is amazing

Good work.

I need to give mine a seeing to! It's perfect on motorways but around town or on slower roads it squeeks and rattles like a b*stard.

Excellent work. All the steps are excactly right in order to adjust the hardtop

One more thing the towel is a must for the soft top when is folded is that prevents the inner material of the softop against discoloration of the sun that you don't have much in UK but here in Greece helps a lot. I bought mine from the guy below in order to protect my softop since the OEM tonneau cover cannot be fitted with the hardtop on

mines not too noisy, but sometimes over uneven ground when the chassis would flex i get 'bang' noises from the striker areas. Not often but loud when it happens, im guessing its not normal?

Not had this on mine TBH, but I think the roof will losen up over time from poor roads etc....

As long as its not rattling and annoying you I would say thats probably on fine...

Mine started leaking the other day...took it to Honda and they thought it was the seals or that it needed tightening but its acutally bent/buckled!

They are very kindly getting me a new one...good old warranty!
