And the finished product

(I left a space to the right of the gauge, because there is going to be a toggle switch there)

how did you get your VAFC so flush? Is that custom or do they sell a piece like that? Looks great. You might have just got me into spending money

nice ! as a beginner to these aftermarket toyz.. I'm interested to know, now since you have the option of choosing when to VTEC, do you set it by rpms ? gears ? fuel mixture ? and when would you really need something like this other than for racing ?

thanks

To get it flush we used an adjustable aluminum bracket that is screwed to the inside, underneath. The other piece was a sheet of plastic that we used small "L" shaped brackets to hold. I really wanted it to look clean and not all hacked up so I cut the lines very carefully, and made the cuts a bit smaller so that everything fits snug. To add to the clean look I sanded both the gauge panel and the VAFC face and sprayed them flat back, then a thin layer of clear coat went on for the finishing touch.

The shifter trim ring is polished, some rubbing alcohol and cotton balls did the magic there.

the polished look was posted a little while ago...the dude said he just used 97% alcohol(?), not the regular rubbing alcohol, and it came right off. great look i think...and virtually free!

yeah merlin, that's what i was thinking. i'm sure you were the first (MONTHS ago)!! every great idea gets around...

Does the cup holder door open with the VAFC there?
