Remove all the diff housing bolts and keep them in order. I put them into a piece of cardboard to maintain their order. Whack the housing a few times with a plastic hammer till it comes loose. Separate the housing from the rest of the diff. Use a gasket scraper to get rid of all the old gasket material (it

Boy, never thought I'd wish I lived in Canada, but would be great to be able to attend XViper's S2K DIY workshops! Nice writeup... though not something I'd ever attempt myself!

good job! I'm alomst done with my gentle period of being tame on the car, otherwise, I have not been getting major noises, just the normal tranny buzzing asociated with the clutch disk. Have you noticed any particular noises other than before? It's a lot easier to listen to things when the stock exhuast is on, just threw that on so my service advisor could hear the buzzing so the TSB on the clutch could be done.

basically the 4.44 gears give the little 2.0 liiter some grunt for daily driving which is a major plus.
