Default Don't you hate it when your an idiot.....Suguestions Please :)

Driving home from work, get off at my exit, and make my usual right at the exit, usually a somewhat spirited turn most of the time. Was not thinking at all, (my mind was still at work), take it at my norm. around 30ish.........get a bit of oversteer like I always do, np, but wait, it is damp on the roads, and geting cold here now (NW Ohio), well a bit of over steer turned into ALOT of oversteer. At least I stayed on my half of the road and 180'd and in the process i slid both of the left side tires up a VERY SMALL curb, like the ones u drive up to get into a parking lot. Put a small scuff on tire, curb was so low that it still missed the rim by like an inch maybe. Now my car has slight pull to the right, no suprise there, BUT the steering feels a bit numb in center, like there is a bit more play in the center then there used to be. Guess im going in for an alignment on monday, im assuming this will solve the prob. I'm also guessing that i should have my camber checked? I know how the S handles in the rain, 2 auto-x's ago, 3 of my 4 runs where in rain, i just had my head up me arse Looking for as much info as possible so when i go to the Dealer on monday, i have all the knowledge with me, and if someone would be so kind (i know i can search for it) taking suguestions for camber settings for a daily driver/weekend auto-xer. Thank you all in advanced, and of course be carfull in wet/cold weather.....god can i be a dumb ass at times.

You might have them check your control arms to see if they're bent too. A pothole took care of mine one day and messed up everything.

Hey V8NV-mys2k

Don't be too hard on yourself, accidents happen. Just be glad it wasn't worse. Learn a lesson and chalk it up to experience. I'm glad you're o.k., everything else can be fixed.

Went out for a short drive this morning, after i cooled off from yesterdays events, i think i was being overly paranoid. There is no pull, my steering wheel is a bit off center but no pulling. There is a very and i mean very slight numb feeling with the steering wheel in center, but i think that is because of it being off center. Car still feels as solid as ever at speed, but im still gonna have dealer take a quick look at it, TY all for the info.

How many miles on the tires? do you think tire age had anything to do with it?

Sorry to hear about the accident. I'm glad you made it out ok. Mileage on the S-02's is a killer. I was amazed how well the S did handle in the rain at first. This all changed at 8,000 miles. I was driving in a mild rain on a road with some serious truck ruts when out of no where the rear end became really squirrelly. Fortunately, I got here slowed down before anything serious happened.

Got 9k miles on my S-02's, tire wear looks even, maybe a bit more on the inside, but IMO there is prob at least 60%+ left on the rear tires. I seem to be get'n decent wear from what i have read, and yes these tires do get pushed to the limits now and agian obviously
