Need board's help - been scammed
Hey all,
It looks like I need some help from the board on this one.
On October 11, 2002, I sent a money order to Paul Seo to purchase his stock wheels and tires. It is now 5 weeks later and I haven't received a thing.
I have PM'ed twice asking for status updates/tracking numbers and haven't heard anything. He has not been on this board to read those PM's.
I have his phone number and called him several times. His mother does not speak english and his father only speaks broken english, but I managed to leave a message for him to call me regarding the wheels. This was on Monday, and I haven't heard from him yet.
I just left a message on the voicemail stating that if I don't hear from him by the end of Friday, I will be launching a fraud case with his local police department. I included both my phone number and my email address in the phone message.
So that's where I stand. I'm out several hundred dollars and I have no wheels and tires. I turn to the board for help.
Is the name Seo Korean? If so, I was wondering if someone who speaks Korean could give his family a call and let them know what the situation is.
I'm getting pretty mad that he doesn't even have the courtesy to call me back and let me know what's going on.
Any suggestions would be helpful. He's located in central NJ.
Thanks,
Rob

S2KRob,
Paul Seo is definitely Korean. I know, because I spoke/met with him. I met up with him to sell my wheels (LE37T). This was about 6 weeks ago? From what I saw, he didn't look like the type to scam someone. He seemed pretty well off financially, I don't know why he would try to scam someone. Maybe he's out of town or something?
