S2000 Club of America, S2KCA (LOOOONG!!)
Some of you may know that Brad, Sondra and I have formed the S2000 Club of America, Inc., the S2KCA. We have incorporated, gotten all the legal rigmarole out of the way and have acquired insurance to cover the organization. The inaugural event to launch S2KCA is S2KDays. Let me say one thing about that first. For everyone who attends S2KDays, you will have free membership to the organization for one year. For anyone who wants to join who doesn't attend, the annual dues are 35 dollars.
Why would you want to join the organization? Membership will provide meetings and get-togethers with a liability policy that covers the attendees if someone tries to sue you for something that happens at a local, regional or national event. The following is from one of Brad's posts about what insurance does for you at your events/track time/get-togethers:

Now, if you have your car parked and lets say someone walks up to your car and gets burned by the exhaust pipes and the person who got burned sues you for that - the club insurance will step in and pay for legal fees up to an amount.

Thanks for the offering of help! It really has been alot of work setting up the org. (S2KCA) and setting up the first S2KDays. I'm confident that it will all be worth it come Asheville.
For those interested in leading (or helping to lead) you local chapter, please post here and I will get you a Chapter formation document.
Thanks again for the support, this is the start of a great community of S2000 owners.

We want to fill all of these slots, but we also realize that population is not everything. It's a good way to break things down, but there will be exceptions to this.
