As promised, here are the pics I took the day after I rolled.

This is the crash site - looking back along the road where I came from. On the left, you can see the bank I went up, you can see the 2 marks made by the wheels as they went up the bank - what surprises me is the relatively short distance the car went up the bank and rolled over. on the right is where the car ended up (see the broken fence) after rolling onto the window and back onto it's wheels. The ice had melted somewhat over the time between the incident and the photo being taken, but as you can see, the entire road was covered in ice which by the next day had become somewhat slushy:-

This is the front of the car afterwards, you can see the windscreen on the passenger side is pushed back a couple of inches, this is the side which took most of the impact of the roll, then onto the bonnet and finally the driver's side wing. The spoiler and bumper in front of the driver's side wheel was torn off as the car went up the bank.

Side view of the 'snub-nosed' look - every panel was marked by the roll.

And finally the rear 3/4 showing the passenger side damage and the only unmarked panel on the car - the bootlid!

What can be said Mark........

Interesting that the bootlid managed to survive unscathed, from what Craig Armstrong said the only thing to survive his roll was the bonnet.

I hope you get everything sorted soon and get your new car, have you decided on a colour yet?

Possibly repairable Mark, but I'd stiick out for a new car on the grounds that the front roll bar safety is compromised!

I think if that happened to mine I'd probs have been close to tears - still better the car dented than yourself - I expect that will end up back on the road at some point having been repaired and sold to someone unsuspecting I guess

I wrote off a Scirocco and a right mess it was too - only some months later to see it on Lambeth Bridge in London - I thought I was seeing things

Well, the only emotion I felt afterwards was relief - because it rolled over so slowly I had plenty of time to contemplate the possibilities (like the seat belts not holding me in for one) so the damage to the car was not an issue.
And now, after a week I'm of the opinion that a replacement is the only thing I want (Mandy and i are still debating over colour, my choice at the moment is Nurb. Blue/Blue after seeing Dan's, Mandy wants yellow or red) - I don't want the car repaired (for the reason Cedric states) and I don't want any other car.
Ian, the airbags didn't go off, the only safety device to trigger was the fuel cut-off switch.
Tuney, I have been thinking about making an offer for the engine, gearbox and diff myself - as an upgrade for the Locost at the end of next season's racing (would give me about 500-600 bhp/tonne )

I left the plates unblanked in the photos in the hope that if the car is put back on the road, these pics might have circulated a bit and be some evidence if someone unscrupulous decides to 're-float' her.

Touch and go regarding write off I would say. Obviously you've done the screen/frame but the rest looks like panel damage. Hugely dependent on whether there's any twisting and distortion.

They'll write it off if repairs will cost >50% of the current market value. Close, I would think.

Good luck, whichever way.
