Help with audio...
Hey everyone,
Im getting a new Cd player. Im getting one because the existing one doesnt offer AUX or any IPod connections. My car has a 10" sub in the back with a amp, i know how to install CD players in cars, but i dont know crap about amps and i dont have a guide on how to take apart the s2000 dash.. So i was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me do this? If not ill have the guys at best buy do it...though i dont trust em.

well if you already have an aftermarket deck then you dont really have to worry bout much....
as far as the amp goes, you just need to hook up the rca's in to the back of the new deck (no problem)....unless for some reason you have a line out converter, then you have other things to take care of, but if it was done right then you should have rca's plugged into your deck....
for removal of the old one, that also depends on the deck that you have in there now....a lot of times you can just pull the deck out with the manufacturers keys and do the work through the DIN slot. only problem is you have to get a hold of the keys, typically the guys at best buy will have em and let you borrow em for a couple minutes without a problem, or they might even pull it out for you....
hope i answered your questions, let me know if you have any more.

man your going to confise the poor guy. S2000 decks are easy to remove, instead of using a "key" you just have 4 screws, (2) on each side. Then take the 2 brackets off the the stock dech and put them on the new one and your done. Buy a wire harness for your car so it will be plug and play.
Amp is easy to install, you just have to take out the passanger seat (if you want the wires tuckes), the kick panel and some of the carpet.
I would say that I would help you do it, but I have so much going on right now it's not even funny.
oh Griffin the BBQ time is not set, just pm me your # and i'll pm you back with mine.

its extremely easy to remove the factory radio. And like everyone else said, just go get the install kit from best buy which is like 20 bucks. and plug everything up. Easy for even a first timer, but if you need help I can help you.
Hey got my player today. Gonna install it tomarrow. Didnt buy the wiring hardness coverter..was like 20buck and i can easily figure out what goes where with a voltmeter. Thanks for all the help and advice.

Oh i didnt know you have an aftermarket headunit in there already.. yea you can just use the harness from that kenwood.... If you are going to do that its always a good idea to write down what wires connect to what before you start cutting the kenwood wires off the harness.... makes it alot easier
And as far as i remember the 4 screws is all you have to remove... there is a DIY picture walkthrough somewhere on this website... search for it. It will help you alot!
