I think pitbulls get a lot of negative press because people just dont know how to control them... Bully breeds have dominant issues. I had to fight with my boxer for a long time after we adopted her to break her bad manners and habits. They are a lot of work though, just make sure you have alot of time for them. Especially if you plan to keep them in house like my boxer.
I don't mean the pit will kill them on purpose, just by playing to rough with the little guys.

If I get one I plan on keeping it as a shop guard dog.
