Default Plastic Window tint

So I got the wild hair to tint my plastic back window.

What a PITA!!!

I killed the first one...guess I should have used the foil like the instructions said.

Second one.... could be better. Not bad but I'm glad I didn't pay me for that work. Like the rest of the car, great from 3-4 feet, could be better up close.

I'll eventually do this again once this one is not sticking any more.

Hasta...

I've been wanting to do this but I've never gotten around to doing it. What's the tint product called that you used?

So the tint product is whatever walmart had in static cling tint in 5%.

The update is that I will be going back to Wal-Mart to get another package as apparently it does not stick to the trim at the bottom of the window and I was too impatient to get home tonight to stop when I saw it start peeling from the bottom.

Let me get the process worked out next week and then I will see what I can do to help others. The big part of this will be making the pattern as getting under the top to get to the corners is the worst part of the job.

Cool... I didn't know they made they carried that kind of stuff at Walmart.

I guess I'll wait for your update and then I'll try to do it. I don't think there are many people here with the plastic window. I think it's just you, Tami and me. I might be missing someone, but I'm too lazy to sit and think about it.

It will definately be Monday as I drove the BEAST today (Dodge Diesel) so I can tires for the car trailer (easier to do track days that way...woohoo!!!!)

Once I get the pattern made, getting the window on should take about 20 minutes.

It will almost be drive through service.
