Default 08 Second Owner

Drove 1200 miles back to Northern Virginia after picking up a 72K mile One Owner, white with red seats. All matching vins and well maintained exterior. Does have the cold start screech, which will be taken care of soon. My first purchase has been a FlashPro and test pipe. Thank you for everyone's contribution to this sweet site.

1200 miles isn't unreasonable. I just bought my 2006 in Nebraska and drove back nearly 1000 miles to WV. Where did you buy yours?

"It's called started grind...eventually all S2Ks will get it." Never heard of it until moments ago. Still wondering what it is.

You might check that the "screech" isn't from a glazed drive belt slipping on start up.

Arkansas...drove straight with a two hr nap.

The screech is from a sticky starter solenoid when it's cold. Only happens after sitting overnight and first start of the morning. The starter continues to crank a half second after it starts and grinds with the flywheel.

Welcome. Weather has been dreary in NoVA as of late and I hope it clears up. Do you ever make it out to the weekend car meets like Katie's and Dulles? Lots of nice cars there.

Post some pix of that GPW, you have the best color after all.

I really don't have much time with the kids and work but I really wanna check out some turbo kits at those meets. I really wish I didn't like white cause it caused me to pay a premium and buy long distance when I had lower mileage cars local to me. But there's something to be said about a one owner. She walked into the dealer intending to buy something else but couldn't resist it. She looked like she was gonna shed some tears when she handed me the keys after 8yrs being her DD. I'll get some pics soon. It's got the full body kit which I really didn't care for in pictures, but in person it really does flow well with the ap2. Maybe I just can't get myself to take off that silly little rear mudflap looking thing after emptying the bank. Lol
