Default 2001 S2K Vancouver

Hey Guy's

Always wanted an S2K and posted an ad on craigslist couple of months ago wanting to buy one. Got a call from a nice gentleman in my town that had one sitting in his backyard for 8 years. I went down the next day and took a look. Asked what he wanted and if there was anything wrong with it when he stopped driving it and he said absolutely nothing. The car has 108,000km and is all original but the car did not start; however, would turn over and the compression was fine. Bought the car and got it towed to my dad's shop today. The car was dirty as it was outside but under roof off his workshop. Washed it today and will start working on getting it running tomorrow.

Looking good now! Good luck on the mechanical side. You'll get it going, I'm sure of it.

It's a good thing you rescued that car. It's hard to understand why people just let a nice car sit unloved but it gives a job to car guys ... to bring them back to life and enjoy them.

"Barn finds" occur all the time. This one was just missing the barn. But parked outdoors is just this side of criminal.

I'd look at the valve train and scope the cylinders before even hand cranking.

Figured it out! It was the immobilizer, and one of the keys was bad. I just happened to use the other key and she started right up.

Just ordered AP2 retainers and keepers I’ll check out the cylinders and do a valve adjustment in the next couple of days.
