Default 2003 Honda 2000 stolen

I'm posting here, discovered this site this morning. I have a Honda S2k. I bought my S2k from a dealer in 2005. The car had about 8k miles at the time. I have loved driving this car so very much - it was almost my baby. On 8/19/13 I traded cars with my husband as I needed to pick someone up at the airport. He took my keys, then changed his mind about leaving right away. He put the keys on a piece of furniture beside the garage door, closed the garage door & went into the house. An hour later, he went outside to leave & my S2k was gone, as well as my keys. The hard top remained covered on its rack in the garage. I am still grieving my stolen car. It had new Toyo front tires, the rears were still perfect at a yr old; breaks were replaced within the year; it had just had its oil change & was turning to 70k miles. The engine was replaced in 2006 due to a crack in the block. I had an extended warranty so it was replaced for free. My car is white with white hard top. The ins.Co. has now settled & as I am an active grandma, I have purchased a New CRV so I have room for grand kids,& those who were not comfortable in my "little" car. Sob, sob! I rarely listened to the radio b-cuz just loved listening to that engine motor. The VIN on this car is JHMAP11463T001324 should anyone stumble across it. Obviously, my car had been tagged & was being watched for an opportunity to steal it. This experience makes me paranoid; just as a notice to all others with HS2k's: have your alarm system, lock your car always, then keep your keys in a safe place-not in your garage or sitting around near your car. This thief came through a side gate that was not tightly locked, into the side door of the garage (which was unlocked) through the laundry area, into the garage & took the keys. Then went out the same way driving off with my car! Contact me if you locate my car. Thank you. Mariah1

Sorry to hear about your loss. My S is my second car so my keys are in a safe bolted to the wall when I'm not driving it.

As for the HT for sale, you could post that on the for sale page and don't forget to follow the posting rules.

S to a CRV. What a shame.

So sorry for your loss! S2KI has a members-only policy when it comes to posting parts for sale. I'll edit your post and encourage you to purchase a membership and then list your parts in the Marketplace and/or your local subforum.

don't let anyone lowball you on the price of that hard top.... check around, but, best of my understanding, a factory HD.. is going to be pretty difficult to just come by...

might post photo's of you car.. could help...

sad to see your first post is about such subject.... fingers crossed...
