I think people use terms loosely.
But something can only ever be new once.
Anyway the point was "Mint" should refer to its current state as a whole in comparison to "New". But we all will see grades of "mint" different. I think your car looks great.
- Mint to me means its current condition relative to its quality when new.
- Unmolested means the car has never been changed from its production form and retains its completeness.
- A car can be molested, and returned whole, as well as returned to "mint" quality.
But something can only ever be new once.
