clean carfax, 1 owner. 1 tiny ding and a couple of scuff marks on the front bumper

i'm seeing people on here selling 2003's with 15k miles for 21k
is the 05 worth 22.9 with 39k miles?

sounds like too much to me if there are scuffs and a ding with 40k miles.

Heck, I'll sell you my '05 with 26k miles for $22k. No dings, but a few small scuff marks on the bumper (thin factory paint job)

You won't get flames from me. I was looking at the Mazdaspeed3 before deciding on the S. For me it was a choice between something with designed for practicality and then modified to be fast, or something that was designed to be fast from the start. This is the way I see it:

New Mazdaspeed 3:
Pros:
Good handling
You will have it since it was new; you'll know its history
Full length warranty
Lots of space
Room for 4 other passengers
Turbo engine usually means easier power gains
Made it to Motor Trend's recent top ten list for best handling cars available in America

Cons:
Looks like any other Mazda 3 wagon to the untrained eye
Lower expected resale value

Used S2000:
Pros:
Great handling
Its a convertible
Designed from the very start to be a sports car
Exclusive, since there aren't that many out on the road
High resale value; typical of Honda
Made it to Motor Trend's recent top ten list for best handling cars available in America

Cons:
Limited space; for pretty much anything
Convertible make it easy to break into
No warranty

Sounds high. Check out cars.com in your area for S2000. Gives you a clean and quick method to compare cars, prices, and miles.

yeah, sounds like your looking at dealerships. It'll be cheaper if you buy from a private party

Check out the local forum and post up if anyone is selling or knows someone. I've seen a couple in De that looked great and passed on the information.
