Default 2007 - Is this a fair price

Hope to join you all on this forum ... still trying to buy a used S.

Found a silver 2007 with red/black interior ... 2000 miles on the clock. The seller is asking $24,900. Kelly Blue Book lists it at about $2,000 less than that.

Car has paint protection film on hood, mirrors, and headlights and a full cover for storage purposes.

Any advice would be appreciated.

which kbb value? private party or retail? is the car at a dealer or is it private party?
clean carcheck? doesn't matter, carcheck is useless.
all vin numbers match on the body panels?
have someone check the car to make sure it hasn't been in any accidents or had any paintwork.
what color? some people here seem to think gpw sells for more than most other colors, which i have seen some evidence of. how long has it been for sale?
i would not pay $2000 over kbb private party. i would not pay anywhere near kbb retail.
contrary to what some would have you believe, there are plenty of low milage single owner private party S's still around. also i don't think there was too much different from 2006 to 2007 so you may be able to find a better price on a 2006 with similar miles.

Dealer near me was asking $22,900 for a 2007 NFR with 12,000 miles.

The Kelly Blue Book price I mentioned was private party sale (not at a dealer) with me clicking on the excellent condition tab?

Not sure how long it has been for sale? Why would that matter?

The longer a car has been for sale, the higher the likely hood of the seller being willing to deal (particularly true with dealers).

I actually got a lot of that when I was looking for a replacement S a couple weeks ago. "Man I wouldn't even go above $20k for ... " and stuff like that. Well, if you have several to choose from then that may be the case but depending on your area you might have only a couple of options. All of the S2000's (suzuka or laguna for me) in my area were rear ended or ragged on to hell and they STILL wanted KBB retail. I had to fly out to Florida, again, to get my S. haha

If your choices are limited then start AT kbb value and work your way down nitpicking on little things (if they'll even budge, but it's worth a shot). they will come down on the price if it's been sitting on the lot a while because they're paying money to keep that car there each month; kind of like paying rent.

Some people on here are such an experts, jeeez!!It is a private seller,so he sets the price for his vehicle. It is a different matter if he is going to sell it for that price. He might not even budge if he has the best condition and lowest milleage in the area.It depends also on the availability of s2k's in your area and condition. So it all depends and Yes,GPW sell for more that any other colors.Just because a lot of people want only white.
