Default 2007 MSRP

I had been talking to him about a 07 Silverstone w/ black/red interior that will be their first S2K for the 07 model year. It was supposed to be built in the latter part of July. It does not show up as in transport to the US yet, but he called today and left the message that the MSRP is $34,800. There must not be be much difference between the 06 & 07 with only a $200 increase in MSRP. The dealership still has a 06 Formula Red left in the showroom that I may try to get a good deal on, but will wait for the 07 to arrive first. Silverstone is my favored color of the two, but I could easily live with either. Especially if I can get the 06 for less than $30K.

there is no difference between 06 and 07 other than color combos...

the msrp on an 06 is actually 34,050
so that would be a 750 increase... or 155 if that 34800 quote included dest fee...
but you should never be paying msrp for a car like the s2k anyway,
always shoot for invoice or below

and regardless, id still be skeptical of their msrp quote of 34,800 for an 07,
dealers like to take full advantage of the "S" in m-s-r-p

good luck on the dealing

Well, expect to pay a higher price for the brand new models, particularly when dealers have MY06s (or even MY05s) still hanging around to get off their lots.

You should be able to get a new MY06 for around 31K (or maybe less) before TTL these days...

I was offered an 06' quote of 30,200. They just got a new 07' in and that was going for 31,900 + ttl. I'm struggling between buying new or used. I'm stressed out man! Good luck in your search.

I know exactly what you mean. My dealer just called again and dropped the asking price of the 06 $500.00. The 07 is not in yet and I've not made any offers on the 06 yet. I am waiting to see what his selling price on the 06 drops to when the 07 pushes the 06 out of his showroom. My only concern is the color. Red is Red and it's fine enough, but the 07 Silverstone / Red/Blk interior speaks to me. (loudly) I keep telling myself to listen to the sound of the money that would still be in my pocket with the purchase of the 06 NFR. If they are both there at the same time I will have them roll them out so I can do my own due diligence and pick one.Time will tell. Good luck to you too!
How do you all rate the importance of color when paying more was the result? Did you go for your favorite color or did you try to save some $$$?

Color of your choice man because if you get your second choice, everytime you see a sivlerston/red you will regret not getting it.

When i was getting mine, it had to be:

1. berlina/red
2. gpw/red
3. sebring/red

I waited and waited and guess which one i got and am soo glad i did?

I hope I can hold out for my choice:
1. GPW/Black - Then switch seats and door panels for TAN! I'm looking for MY00-02
