Default $299/mo lease special

I am in the market for a S2000 and was interested in Honda's lease special. I have read that they offered this special last year around the same time of the year. Do you think they might offer something better after Sept. 5th or keep the special the same? Thanks!

It will not be lower then a $299, but to let you know it will not be 299 out the door per month. I personally hate leasing cars. The dealership by my house had the same deal, after like 3-4k due at sign in. It makes no sense to lease the car. You need to remember only if you you pay all there up front fees and costs, and if you are trading a car in, to not be upside down and if you have a great credit you can get the car for 299 plus tax so prob be like 330 or so a month, thats if you meet everything else.

Yea, I know all that. I am wondering if after they ran this special last year, what they offered on the left over inventory? Thanks for the tips.

You need to scroll through the threads- there was a big one on the 299 lease deal when I was looking for mine. I paid $363 at signing and pay 363/mth(+ tax). You can get a lot better deal than the listed rate. Some have done better than me. You may be able to get a similar deal after Sept 5th, many said they got great lease deals at the end of 2005 and I am sure it will happen again this year, but Honda is not going to offer a lower advertised deal than $299. The lease is actually a great deal if you qualify for the best credit- a 1.4% interest rate(which is half the rate they offer on a purchase2.9%)!!!

Would of been $399 including tax but I added the HondaCare thing so it's $428 for 15,000 miles per year.

Out of curiosity- why did you opt for HondaCare when you are only leasing for 3 yrs? The car will be under bumper to bumper warranty for 3yr/36K and powertrain warranty for 5yr/60K so you would only be responsible for minor stuff for 9K of your lease (if you actually drive the car 15K/yr). Sounds like the dealer got a little greedy. I asked my lease manager why he didn't try to sell me any extras and he said- "you are leasing for 3yr/36K and the car is under full warranty for that period, why would I even suggest it as I would look foolish?" A pretty fair guy IMO.
