Default 2nd s2k - 2005 GPW on Tan

Hello all,

I just picked up my second s2k a little over a week ago!

2005 GPW on tan with only 66,000 original miles, bone stock

I was just about to give up on buying a clean, unmolested GPW on tan and then I moved from Atlanta, GA to Columbia, SC... where only 1 s2k is listed for sale every 2 weeks...
I've literally been searching for the right deal for a little over a year and a half now. Georgia Tech kicked my ass and I had to sell my first one (2000 Silverstone on red/black purchased with 32,000 original miles, sold with 65,000 miles) to pay for tuition, books, rent, etc. for my last semester of undergrad

I would not even consider ANY other vehicle because I was so happy with my first s2k. I had it for a little over 2 years and had zero problems with it. I also loved doing my own maintenance (which was pretty much a breeze compared to a lot of other cars).

In the 8 days since owning the car I've already:
1. Washed and waxed the car (which it really didn't need)
2. Changed the oil with 5 qts Mobil 1 extended performance 10w30 with a brand new Honda OEM oil filter
3. Changed the manual transmission fluid
4. Changed the coolant

And I'm still planning on changing the differential fluid, and plugs: already purchased 6 NGK 7772 plugs (I know I only need 4, but I like to have a couple in reserve in case I get a garbage plug or 2).

And many thanks to the DIY section of these boards. I've already used probably 5 of the tutorials to do miscellaneous things to the car, which has been very helpful

Thanks again!

And this is a pic of my 1st.
Amazingly enough this photo wasn't photoshopped, somehow the light hit it just right and I got this excellent pic

Beautiful (both of them)! Welcome back! Did you check the oil level after you changed it? IIRC, it takes a little bit more than 5 quarts.

Yea I bought an extra quart with it that I always keep in my small tool bag in the trunk in case I have some sort of oil issue. I used some of that to bring it up to the right level.
