Im a proud owner of a 300zx convertible, but ive always liked the s2000's i was looking at picking one up i would like to know what year should i stay away from?

and god ive looked around on this site for 10 mins and ive seen alot of commen problems with softops tearing , and keys thinking there still in the ignition ...

Hey, I went from a 1990 300zx NA with a JDM engine swap to a 2002 s2000. I loved my Z but personally my s2k is better in every way. I say go for it. Just be sure if you get the earlier 2002 model or a lower year than a 2002, change the banjo oil bolts! My engine is knocking and have a scuffed bore b/c of it. For me I havent had any problems with my soft top ripping, or the car thinking the key is still in the ignition. So I say go for it man!

And here is my s2k I got. It looks a little different now, I took off the side skirts and rear add ons, and smoked the side markers now.
