Alright, so I am finally getting things aligned to where I can finally purchase the car I've been wanting for almost 5 years...*gasp* an S2000. I was planning on purchasing one but, ended up getting married in 2005 I was planning on doing so. Can't complain, but however I had to buy a more family oriented car. My wife and I agreed since that once our car is paid off that I can finally buy myself a much desired sports car.

My questions however for all of youm out in S2KIland is this...

I am caught...I between the laguna blue, yellow and white. I am very partial to the yellow and the only true reason I can want the white is simply because of the red/white contrast and the blue? It just looks nice. What seems to be the most common color found on the road for those three colors? I'll probably end up getting the yellow regardless...the color suits my personality. It stands out quite well.

Also, when I purchase the car beginning next year I figured it would probably be smart to just opt for a 2007 model instead of the '08 since the changes to the S2000 are so minimal over the lifespan of the model that I doubt a significant change would warrant the full price of admission. Any thoughts? ...and with what I seem to be understanding that Honda desiring to market the next "S2000" towards the Miata/Soulstice market...it wouldn't essentially wouldn't carry most of the S2000s charm. I know many of you all here are quite informed on future "possible" changes than I would be...so any advice would be great.

I know a new Supra is being planned...but, I figured I couldn't go wrong with a car I've wanted for so long and have chances of zero buyers remorse. I'm not a big fan of all those crazy designs coming down the pipeline (especially from Mazda). I think the way the S2000 looks is timeless and clean.

Get the yellow

 

Blue gets kinda boring after a while. Get yellow,it looks great on the s2000.

 

Get white, is the fastest color JK I think the red/black interior is an awesome combo.

One added bonus to choosing the S at this point - it's rep and reliability to date.

Yellow: Want to be seen/bold presence/race car color.

White (red interior a must IMO - not available on new models): Rare/sophisicated look (especially with white wheels and cleared corners).

Blue: Serious/potent/mature presence. My favorite.

 

Get the color that YOU always wanted and suits you best.

If you are buying new, you might want to check the sticky at the top of this forum on the S2000CR due to arrive later this year as an '08. It will be unveiled at the NY Autoshow on Wednesday.

 

First and foremost I have to just say you all are by far the most friendly group of enthusiasts I have had the opportunity to talk with. I have been to many forums were they just seem to be filled with 12 year olds... Thanks.

Anyways, so my rational for opting for a 2006/2007 model was because if the changes to the '08 model were minimal I could save myself money by going for a model essentially the same right?

 

Yellow is screaming for attention (police) and you might get sick of it. White or blue.
