Another New Owner (AP1)
2001 Silverstone on red with 82K miles. No modifications, no accidents, and adult owned. The previous owner (since 2006) kept every maintenance record for the 42K miles he put on it. I've wanted a S2000 ever since I was in high school when the car debuted. I bought an E36 M3 8 years ago from a family member so the money spent spent for that car pretty much killed the possibility of getting a S2000. I always toyed with the idea of selling the M3 and getting a S2000, but the car has too much sentimental value to me. In in 2007 I bought a '96 Miata as a companion for the M3. Last summer the Miata was totaled by a Jeep. I bought the Miata back and parted it out. Over the past six months I was looking at everything from MR2 Spyders, to RX8s, to 87-93 Mustangs, and of course the S2000. The S2000 blew me away on my first test drive and I was sold.
The only problem was finding a clean S2000 that is reasonably priced is a tricky task. Either the cars were poorly modified, had accident history, or were priced in the stratosphere (and sometimes a combination of all three). I found this one and it fit my criteria so I bought it. I really love this car and I am really thankful that I now own one (while retaining my beloved M3).
I have enjoyed doing research on this site and it really helped me out in my purchase. My only complaint with my S2000 is the stereo. It is worse than the tape deck in my S10 and it will not play any burnned CDs. I'm wondering if a later model S2000 headunit will work in my '01...
I would like the thanks this site for all of the research content.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone.
Honestly, I haven't had a chance to detail it or even wash it yet. The car was clean and garaged when I bought it, but interior still need vacuumed and the leather conditioned. The engine bay is also somewhat dusty. The photos seem to hide all of these things. I will have to post some photos once I get to detail it. Rest assured that this AP1 won't get trashed during my ownership. It will be stored in the winter and stay out of rainy weather when possible.

Wow, nice. Yes the newer AP1 radio plays burnt discs.
I bought an AP2 radio instead and the OEM Honda iPod adapter, so it communicates right off my iPod and charges it.
Look for the Kansas City/Missouri S2K Facebook page. I'm almost certain we'll be having a meet this spring/summer.
