You need to clean that engine bay!

Pick up some Gunk Foamy cleaner and some foamy Armorall Tire Shine. On a cool engine, spray all the dirt off, but avoid the air intake (cover it with a plastic bag and tape it shut). Spray the foamy everywhere according to directions, then rinse, and cover everything with the armorall - remove the intake cover and run the car for 20 min to get everything dry and you will be blown away.
