Best Time of Year for a Deal?
I'm a previous S2000 owner who is thinking about buying (or maybe leasing) another one sometime in the next year. I've read that the S2000s are not selling very well right now. I know about the current $2,000 incentive. Is that as good as its going to get? Does Honda ever offer 0% financing? Any really good leasing deals anticipated? If you were going to buy in the next year what would your gameplan be for getting the best possible deal?

A couple popular options:
(1) Wait until it's cold. Convertibles are always cheaper in the winter.
(2) I bet you can find a really inexpensive blue S2000 with orange pin striping in your neck of the woods! (go gators)
(3) I've seen people get really good deals on brand new "last year" models at the beginning of a new model year as well.

Although, from what I've seen of recent prices, S2000s aren't exactly flying off showrrom floors anymore, so I don't think pricing is as effected bythe seasns as it used to be.
I know Honda has a couple big sales events with things like 0% financing, but I'm not sure when they occur. You should be able to get a discount on a leftover 06 - it would be a good deal as there were no changes between 06 and 07.

I have paired several dealers against one another and the best I was able to do was invoice - 2,000 and then reducing their silly documentation fee from 400 to 80. This was for a new 2007.

I bought mine last night. I ended up with 2K under invoice, no destination fee, and a doc fee of only $80 (standard at the dealer here is 389). This type of deal should not be hard to come by as the dealers seem happy to be unloading them.
