Default From bugeye to s2k

Hey guys, just looking for some info and input from s2k owners and not people that like to run their mouths so I figured what better way than to join a forum.

So im looking at 00-02 s2ks and currently have my eyes on a 01 at a dealer in vt with 73,000 miles for 10,900. What's your thoughts on this car and mileage? Thanks for the help and info

Do you have a max price range?

How long do you plan on keeping the car?

Are you strictly just looking at AP1s?

If it's in very clean condition in and out $10,900 w/ 73k miles sounds very good.

check maintenance records. Have valves checked, over reving can be problem. Valve retainers can be be cracked. Make sure fluids have been changed or plan on changing them if you buy the car.

Im looking to stay below 13gs and hoping to hold on to the car for a while. It seems very clean and its at a dealer so I hope its well maintained but who knows these days. Wherever I get a s2k I do plan on seafoaming, draining, flushing and replacing every fluid before I start driving it. What else should I look at for typical known wear and tear. Thanks again fellas ...

its not a bad deal if every things good. check for engine rattles (TCT), clutch chatter, any weird sounds from axels.

plus in my personal experience, its really hard to catch anything the first day. u really have to drive it around for a week or two to figure out its problems.
