Sounds like a decent deal to me.

For how many miles is this warranty good?

LOL if you really liek it go through the effort of inspection. do your hmw on the car,use cafax. Compare your car price(s2k) to other s2000's or other models you want. You cant just bbuy it because we say its cheap or a decent deal, whats your definition of a decent deal?.. know what i mean?.. its a good point indeed.

A decent deal, would be the scenario that he described (IMO).

He is referring to a 4-5 year old car with average miles and has a certified warranty which I am guessing it up to 100K? With the vehicle being certified, its vehicle history should suggest no major accidents and the vehicle should have been through a good inspection which leads to my conclusion that it is a decent deal.
I am assuming that this vehicle is being purchased from a Honda dealership and if that's the case, it is a good deal.

Just to compare I got mine 4 months ago. Like yours its MY02 but with 48,900 miles. Paid $18,900 for it. Yours come pretty close to my numbers.

It was the best deal I could find on the net at the time.

Got MY03 w/ 16k miles for 23k still under warranty 7 years/100,000miles. There was another dealership that had the same exact S2K that I was looking for but it had 38k on it they wanted 28k which I personally think was ridiculous. I think its an alright deal, go for it.

thanks guys i decided not to take this car becuase when i looked underneath it there were four screws protruding from the bottom of the trunk. After removing the tools to chang a flat we found a 1 inch wide by 3 inch long rust area. when i asked the manager to fix the problem he told me that i would need to sign the deal on the car first. i took my money and left. apparently whoever had a system in the car before was an idiot. This will be my second S but my faith in the honda dealership has been destroyed. I thought for sure this should have been caught when the vehicle was being inspected and certified.

It sounds a bit on the high side to me. I paid 19k for a 2002 2 years ago that had a shade over 40k miles on it that also was Honda Certified. Not a bad deal, but sounds a tad high.
