First of all, to the guy in the red AP1 on the GSP who flew past me Saturday afternoon, thank you for doing that..because I would be picking up my Mini this week if it weren't for you!

I custom ordered a Lightning Blue Cooper S 2 months ago and was scheduled to pick it up this week. After seeing the S2k, I was reminded how sexy a car it is. My family owned an 00 Silverstone for about 5 years, and I fell in love with it.

Little history on my cars: I have owned an 88 Prelude, 00 Audi S4, 04 Accord, 05 Legacy GT, 06 Civic Si, and currently I drive an 07 BMW 335. As much as I love the 335, I want a go-kart kind of car..which is why I chose the mini. I had been doing a lot of thinking, and for $30k..I would much rather have a RWD roadster, an S2k.

I have just begun my shopping around for price..best so far is $32,200 inc. destination. I'm pretty sure I want the Chicane/Black but Rio Yellow sure is sexy...I'm afraid it will be too much of a cop magnet. It feels good to be getting back into another fun Honda (notice every other car is a Honda for me..). My wife drives a Fit Sport too..fun stuff!!!

Good choice on the Rio, eveyone knows they are the fastest

In about one year of owning a Rio I've had one ticket -- for an allegedly "illegal left turn". We'll see what happens in court on this one.

The Minis are fun but very different.
