Hello, I will be fitting an S2000 engine on throttle bodies and box in my Vauxhall Chevette and thought I would say hello and see how the S2000 guys do things.

That should be an awesome swap. Having done a few engine swaps, just few questions for you:
  • How much does the Vauxhall weigh?
  • What are you going to do about the differential?
  • What ratio on the differential?
  • Are you planning on using the original S2K dash cluster?
  • I suppose you will be running the S2K's transmission; you will need to so some fabricating to make a new transmission tunnel - should be an interesting challenge.
Please - add pictures! This should be a very interesting install.

The Chevette the last time I weighed it was 920kg with quarter of a tank of fuel.
The rear axle is a Chevette HS item and is a 4:22 ratio running on 15" wheels.
No not using S2000 dash cluster as I already have Autometer gauges in the car.
And yes using S2000 box but I will be moving the gear stick forward by 100mm.
Engine has been sent away and set up on a dyno and is putting out 260bhp.
