I have an 02 sebring silver and have enjoyed it very much. The glass window is what made me decide on the 02. I have 20,000 miles on this car too. Have had no problems with it. It still turns heads all the time. I'm not meaning any disrespect to 00 and 01 owners. I considered them too when I was on the market. Anyway, you can change out to the top on a pre 02 and include glass back window if you really want to, correct?
I enjoy the silver very much, but my wife wants a rio! Maybe one of these days

[QUOTE=Chris S,Nov 3 2006, 11:57 AM]On the flip side, I like silver (after initially owning yellow), b/c it's easier to travel in stealth mode w/o attracting attention from the cops.

It's true the plastic window is larger, and I do sometimes find it's a pain backing up with the top up, looking out my small rear window ... but, I'd go with the '02 because I like the glass rear window and am not fond of the body kit. You will spend much more time going forward anyway.

As a previous poster mentioned, ultimately you'll end up with an S2000. And that's a good thing.

... it's not like you are considering a 350Z or an Evo or something

The man has a good point! Never settle on a color or you will end up like me. I really didn't want silver but chose it because I got a good deal. 10 months later my car got a custom paint job
i know i bought a suzuka last and ended up hating the color rather quickly. now i've got my arse in berlina where it belongs.

My 00's plastic rear window is not that bad. I maintain mine and it is very clear. I would choose the one that was maintained properly and in better shape. Either one is a car that will not disappoint.

The centre console on the 02 is much nicer, leather wrapped.

Rear window just looks better in my opinion anytime you're gonna run top up. Much classier and less dated.

10K miles alone is not not reason to get one over the other in my opinion. That's minimal mileage.

Either way, enjoy!

I have always loved Suzuka Blue i just dont like the Blue interior. I have never understood that about Honda it would look much sexier with black of course. If i were you bro i would get the 02 i have been wanting an S2000 forever and now i finally found the one i want an its an 02. I dont think its just the rear window i have heard a few things there is a thread somewhere with the differences. I also dont like to buy a car thats too early in its production years.

the glass window is smaller than the plastic, sit in both cars and see if either is bad. i would investigate the possibility of replacing the plastic window when it get scratched, is it possible and at what cost.

i like the idea of saving $500 plus getting the car with less milage and the color you want.

do the carfax and maybe a dyno run ask to see the title of both cars. enjoy.

The smart choice is the '02, even resale will be better, but my hearts screams an NFR '01, but I'm biased

Good idea. However, I checked last night and my employment application for "Powerball Lottery Winner" was rejected.
