Clinking with hard turns
Hello to all. I have just joined. Have an '04 S2000. Bought used with 5K miles.
When I make hard rights and hard lefts, I frequently (not always) hear a clinking noise, as if tools in the trunk were hitting one another. They are definitely not. Dealer did not get noise on test drive, and the mechanic seemed puzzeled.
Anyone know what might be happening? Is there anything in the catalytic converter or muffler that might generate the "tool clinking" sound?
Thanks for any help.

I don't think it's the axle nut issue. Could be, but I doubt it. That problem seems to happen when loading or unloading the rear, not really in turns.
I've heard of people talking about differential noises, particularly with the Quaife LSD. Do you know if it's the stock differential? Do you know if the fluid is at the right level and recent?
