Considering an S2k
I'll try this area better, As I said in my other post I would like to know about the s2k, is it worth trading in my 2006 Civic Si? I love my si but want a little more speed and better handling, I dont know much about the s2k and would like to know as much info about it as possible. Help on which years to avoid and which ones to go after, the most common problems encountered with it, and any mis info that would help me in my search for my s2k. thanks
depends if you need space and comfort? the s2000 won't feel that much faster but it will handle better, avoid 00-01 if you don't want plastic window, i like the glass better if you can afford an ap2 (04+) then I would get it GL
I just posted in your other thread actually. There are a lot of factors in deciding weather or not the s2000 is a good car for you. Easiest way to answer a lot of questions is to go test drive one or go to a s2000 meet and sit in one and check things out. Like I said in the other thread, I do not cinsider the s2000 all that fast. Dont get me wrong, it is quick, but fast isnt exactally the word I would use to describe it. As far as handling goes though, it is an amazing experience. You can toss it around as good or better than any other car I have driven. Good luck with things. Take care.

Thank you both I apreciate all of the help, I did not know that some came with a plastic window, and mabey the s2k isnt fast but its a little faster than my Si and thats a plus. I just want a nice sports car but can back up its name of a sports car. So the s2k has everything but top end speed?
If you're looking for top end speed or TQ of any kind, the S2K isn't for you. Although, since you're already used to the high redline in the Si, the transition should be easy for you. I picked up my 2004 for 19K 4 months ago, one owner, warranty in effect and all. Good luck with your search! The S2000 is a tremendous value.

Yea Im not looking for a ferrari type fast just dd, street, interstate, kind of fast. But I do want to be able to beat your average everday cars like 350z,srt4,cobalts,bmws,and especially show up some american cars. Granted I will probley have to go with a turbo or supercharger to accomplish this right?

As stated here and in the other thread, you will answer almost all your questions with a simple test drive. Or use the search button as this question has been asked a million times before.
After a test drive, and a few searches don't answer all your questions, then post. Anything else is just being lazy. At least that's my opinion.

Cobalts (not sure about the new ss) and bmw's shouldn't be a problem. The srt-4 runs very strong under boost (test drove one before I got my AP1), but the fact is they still have to get out and look at the car in the driveway. The 350Z is super torquey. You have to be responsible though, there is a time and place for everythign and the time for that is the track. Otherwise you end up giving yourself and others a bad name, possibly end up in jail or hurting/killing someone. Seen it happen too many times.
