Hi!

My names Alex. I just picked up my first s2000 about a week ago. So I'm joining the forum to meet enthusiast and learn about the car.

Here's the run down...

I picked up the car from a 70 year old lawyer. It's never seen per 5k rpm except when brought to the dealer and the techs road tested it lol. It has 277k on it. Had a cel on with 9 codes. (Misfire 1,2,3,4, Radom, secondary O2, evap, secondary air flow, and cat. The car ran and drove fine. It's due for emissions in a month and his local garage said the only way for it to pass was for $6k for a new engine installed. So he decided to sell it (he had already had the clutch done twice and the head rebuilt twice). Sadly he neglected the car. It was garage kept but daily driven for 5 years (he purchased it with 40k). He loved the car but probably hadn't washed it since he bought it. The trunk had a decent size dent. And the right tail light was damaged. I haven't done much to it yet.

Here's what I did
-cleaned it
-valve adjustment (no more misfire)
-vacuum lines on evap (unhooked when I got the car)
-new trunk
-new tail light
-wetsanded/buffed head lights
-bought a new O2 sensor tonight

Currently the car only has one code. Secondary O2.

It's not mint. It's a project for me. I picked it up for $2500. Running and driving clean title. So I can't complain.

Not sure if I can add pics but I'll try.

The day I got it (old owner in the background)

Valve adjustment time.

Headlight clean up

Broken taillight

Dented trunk

New trunk and tail light on.

Lol yea. I remember the car. You got it tuned by xenocron and had a wastegate problem or something I don't remember to clearly. You sell that and pick up a s2000?
