On the cusp of a purchase...
Hi people
Test drove a 99 S2000 last weekend and have thought about little else all week. The salesman virtually forced me to red line in every gear...a cunning sales tactic! In an S2000 anyway.
I left that one because it seemed a bit ruined. But I'm sold on the car it's self.
I'm now looking at an 04 with 77,000 on the clock.
My question: Am likely to have any probs? Well aware of the legendary build quality and all that. But the car has 77,000 miles and its 7 years old. It will have been punished I'm sure.
I've just taken out a £5,500 loan to cover this (along with trade in etc) so the car is going to need to last!
If it looks fresh and feels fresh - I'm not in for any horrors am I?
My other test drive had 60,000 on the clock and it felt pretty tight.
I'm seeing it Sunday - so you lot have 2 days to reassure me I'm in for a major treat worth a loan of £170 a month for 3 years.
Lets hear it please!...

I don't think you'll run into any major problems anytime soon as long as it's been serviced properly
just take it to a independent repair shop and have it checked out before you drop your hard earned (loaned) cash into it...
