Day Old Owner...
Hello! Name is Frank and I just purchased my 07 GPW S2K last night. You can't imagine the grin that has been plastered across my face since then!
My Novel of a Background: I have a 95 del Sol Si that I got new back in early 96. It was a white little car with the aftermarket standard: AEM intake, DC header, GReddy exhaust, STS springs on Konis, and 15" Rota Slips. At one time there was a 5th gen OEM Civic lip on it (non-painted) but the 60 decided that it didn't belong and sent a junk of road debris to rip it off. THIS WAS A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME...you see, I have this thing against the 60 and the junk lying on it cause it has also cracked my windshield, chipped the front bumper, and popped a couple tires >=(. Low and behold it did the ultimate damage when road debris struck along the bottom of my car which set off my airbags (cracking my windshield...again) and puncturing my gas tank!
Well the insurance decided to total my little pride and joy. Needless to say I wanted a new car, even after my parents decided they wanted to salvage the Sol since they knew how rare the car is and overall loved my car as much as I did. I wanted something new, considering I drove the Sol about 250k miles for the past 10 years or so. Anyhow, I came up with a list of cars with the S2K up top, a 350z and G35 in the middle, a LanEvo, and the Si sedan as my last hope. While working, my dad decided to help me out and took the initiative to just walk around dealers and see what they had. Stopped by Spirit Honda and they had a GPW with wing spoiler, strakes, and lip. Now I'm picky about the kind of car I want and I wanted a GPW S2K without a spoiler and was very adamant about this with the dealer and my dad. They wanted to deal at $33k because GPW was hard to come by - my dad wanted to deal, I kept saying no. So in the end, they said they would try to get one, but they would have to trade away their hotseller: the Si. Tough choice for the dealer I suppose. So my dad and I decided to start looking elsewhere...which BTW showed dealers around here didn't have GPW...they had the Silvers, Blacks, and Reds though. Through out the week Spirit would call saying they'll be getting the car and then they can't and so forth. When we were about to sign papers with another dealer, Spirit came back and miraculously found the car I wanted. Ended up picking it up last night for $31k flat ($33k +change OTD). Needless to say, this has been a great "move up" for me in the Honda family...
CLIFF NOTES: I had a Sol. It got totalled. Got an S2K.
And one last thing...my car will be avoiding the 60.

Thank you all for the warm welcome...and yes this perma-grin is the awesomest feeling ever.
Anyhow, still been reading stuff through out the boards and I know I will have a question to ask, but there is such a wealth of information on here, I don't think I can think of one that hasn't been answered yet.
Welp, decided to take a couple shots of my S...

Had to take the family shot with my Sol
