Default DRIVING IN TRAFFIC

HI THERE , I HAVE A 2005 S2000 AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT TO SAY THE LEAST. HOWEVER, WHEN I AM STUCK IN TRAFFIC FOR A LONG TIME, THE ENGINE KNOCKS ONCE,SO I HAVE TO REV IT A BIT BEFORE I START TO MOVE AGAIN.AFTER THIS THEN EVERYTHING IS OK.
IS THIS NORMAL????????????????????

Number one, CAPSLOCK TYPING IS NOT APPRECIATED. Thank you.

Second, you have a new S? Don't blip the throttle, let the engine computer train itself and manage the car - it has to learn. If the car continues to do this over a long period or if it gets worse, you'll need to take it to the dealership.

Hmm, doesn't sound normal. Could be sub-standard gasoline?

Saki is correct about training the engine computer by driving it a few times.

Could be lots of things, but I don't think it's normal.

Heat soak causes power loss when an engine is off between two runnings, but the car should idle fine. One "knock" sounds like a computer, so I'd watch it and see what happens.

thanks alot for the replies. it could maybe be substandard gasoline as one guy said, as i think the fuel grade here isn't too high.

Sometimes My02 will almost stall and make a slight knock sound, after Extended (10min.) Very Slow Driving at just above 1,000 rpm in 1st/2nd Gear.

I don't think my car likes to go slow , most of my shifts are at 8,800/9,000 rpm, so the Car gets confused after EVSD and says WTF lets get going.

When I come to a stop after EVSD I have to Rev the Car hard to get her back to Normal.

Seems to happen more in Hot Conditions, however I have only had the problem maybe Seven Times, But always after EVSD.
