Drove the S today
Had the same feeling when testdriving the S2000 before buying a new car! That first VTEC moment I decided to get one instead of a Boxster that I was planning on. Only when I came out of a new 911 Carrera 4S vert a few months ago testing it at WOT quite a lot, the S felt a little... well... just a little
But comparing the prices and the horses the S gives me the most thrilling drivers time ever

ok so i drove one again today. pretty standard blue one, kinda dirty too. its slightly used with very low miles, only about 900miles on the clock.
almost pulled the trigger, but i need a night to think about it, incase i do something stupid. i was really excited when negotiating the price, which is a very bad thing when talking to a salesman. carfax is clean. anyone have reservations about buying a car that sparsely used? anything i need to watch out for, such as the engine oil sitting in it for so long etc. it's an 06 model. my guess is it was traded in for something else.

Come on now hondurr, resistance is futile... you have contracted the disease (AKA S2000 fever) and you know the cure
.
Just a thought (and probably nothing), but if this is at a Honda dealer, perhaps it was a demo... and we all know what gets done to demos (i.e. the salesman had no problem with me getting into vtec (B4 I really knew what it was like
)... probably was like that with those before me. Mine had just 6 miles on it when I picked it up.

I got quoted invoice. basically the premium for new to me would be about $6000, which is just over $100 a month. HMmmmmmmm. Leaning towards buying new, just because it's new.
i'm deciding within the next couple of days.
I got mine used about 3 yrs ago, but from a honda dealer. Didn't test drive it, look at it or anything. Just took it off the lot the same day
Get a slightly used one, making a shorter break-in period, and enjoy the hell out of it

buying new is the worst thing you can do because the instant you drive it off the lot you already take a huge hit. just my two cents
good luck with your purchase.
good luck with your purchase. But i'm pretty sure i've decided on buying new. it's just nice to have a fresh car, and being the first car i'll ever have bought. i'm just excited i'm going to go through with this. need to go back to do some creative rounding on the final price

i dont' even have the car yet.
