Default ep3 to s2k

hey all!

Im chuk and ive been driving an ep3 for about a year now but im ready to shake it up a bit. Right now i am interning with bmw in munich, but when i return ill b lookin to sell the e-g-g an pick up pry an ap1.

As anoob i was hopin you guys could give me the low down just so i know wat im gettin myself into.

Also, is is reasonable to hope to pick up a sub-50k s2k for 16000or less? I live in the northeast so idk if that effects it at all.

anyway thanks in advanced n i hope u all have a nicen safe new years!

The S is a great car but there are some things to be aware of. First, it doesn't have a lot of room. Although many use it as a dd, storage/cargo space is limited. Second, it doesn't like the rain, at least not on stock tires, snow is even worse. If you are going to drive in the elements, you will need the right shoes. Third, insurance costs can be high, especially if you are young, so be sure to check that out in advance. Last, although there are tons of mods available out there, don't expect huge gains over stock. The car is pretty good out of the box and you can spend big $$ chasing very few seconds of gains. That said, it is a great car, reliable, fun to drive, somewhat unique. You should be able to find a good ealry model, say MY00 or 01, within your budget. Good luck.

There is plenty to enjoy. Drive it and you will make reasons to keep it and pay the high insurance.

I used to own a Ep3, traded it in for the s2k just after a test drive and never looked back. Every single thing about the S2000 I am MUCH happier about, and I think you will feel the same way!

I also made the swap from an Ep hatch to an Ap1. I am very happy with my decision. The only time I miss my hatch is when I go on long trips. Its a PITA to fit enough stuff for me and my girlfriend for a week at the beach or something. Plus I can't take it to the mountains to go snowboarding lol
