Default Evo VIII to S2000

Hi all, i currently own an 05 Evo VIII and am thinking about trading it for an s2000,i've had the car for about 2 and a half years, had a lot of fun with it,( most good and some bad................you know.......big wing, loud......... cops etc)

My friend's co-worker had a brand new 07 and that thing was beautiful inside and out. To my surprise he actually offered to let me drive it i really didnt push it as it only had about 600 miles on it, but that thing was an absolute blast to drive, turned on a dime( the evo's turning radius is pretty bad), when i got back into my car i felt like i was sitting in a truck,..lol......... ( no offense to my fellow evo drivers here, but the s2000 is soo low compared to our cars)

I've read a lot of the threads and learned, but there are a few questions i couldnt find answers for, sorry if they've been answered before.

I will most probably keep this car stock, but down the road if i do decide to supercharge or turbocharge it , would i be better off with a certain model year? and also how reliable it would be with forced induction.

BTW my evo is slightly modded.

im no expert. but i know that if you want to get a turbo make sure you get the right supporting mods.

lightweight high revving N/A engines and forced induction is a tricky endeavor.

there was a comparo on connecting rod sizes of the sr20det and the regular sr20 and after looking at that picture i swore to myself i would never turbocharge a car that was not designed from the ground up to be turbo charged.

however, without any prior knowledge i would say the AP2's would be better. Lower compression, more displacement.

i would still advice against going FI on the s2000 though. not even a question of capability and reliability. plenty of people cant even handle it on STOCK power.

The s2k and EVO are very different cars. I think you will really enjoy the Honda. I'm still in awe about the various people that have given me the thumbs up or just started conversations. It ranges from infants to the elderly that have given my stock AP2 postive attention. Good Luck finding one man.

If infants are talking to you about your car i think you might need to lay down the pipe

I have it the other way around, the Evo is the DD and the s2k is the garage queen You must live in a place where the weather is nice year round.
